WOW! Children’s Museum is celebrating 25 years of inspiring children to learn
through play! The Museum first opened to Boulder County families in November 1996 and has since
served over 1.3 million visitors. In celebration of this milestone 25th anniversary, WOW! has launched a
$25,000 fundraising campaign. Every dollar donated will be matched dollar for dollar by several generous
WOW! supporters. Matching funds will provide $50,000 total in financial support and will help WOW! to
continue to provide educational hands-on experiences for all children in the community.
“We are so proud to be celebrating 25 years of serving Boulder County families, and so grateful to our
community for supporting this crucial match campaign,” said Joanna Cagan, Executive Director. “We feel
very fortunate to have watched children grow up at WOW! over these past decades. We know that
children need safe, welcoming play spaces now more than ever, and we are committed to remaining a
valuable resource for all families for many years to come. After a devastating pandemic year in 2020,
WOW!’s finances remain in critical shape, and so we find ourselves turning to our community to help
ensure that we can continue to offer joyful, play-based learning experiences for the next generation of
young children.”
To help WOW! reach the $25,000 fundraising goal and receive the matching funds, the Museum is asking
families and community members to make a gift of $25 or more in honor of WOW!’s 25th Anniversary. To
