By Patty Desrosiers, Macaroni Kid Brighton/Fort Lupton August 5, 2021

I was introduced to Strawberry Pretzel Salad as a kid and it's been my favorite ever since! We receive frequent requests to bring this to potlucks, parties, and dinners and it's a hit every time.

This perfect sweet and salty mix is the perfect dessert for your end-of-summer barbeques, back-to-school parties, and Labor Day celebrations!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of crushed pretzels
  • 3 tbsp sugar, 1cup sugar (these are different layers)
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 (8oz) cream cheese
  • 8 oz cool whip
  • 2 (3oz) strawberry jello
  • 2 cartons of frozen strawberries in syrup

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine pretzels, 3tbsp sugar, and butter. Press into 9x13 baking dish. Bake 8 min then set aside to completely cool.
  • Cream together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar, stir in cool whip and spread over cooled pretzel crust. Chill in refrigerator.
  • Dissolve 2 packages of strawberry jello in 2 cups boiling water and mix in 2 cartons of frozen strawberries. Chill jello mixture until slightly syrupy before pouring over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until the jello completely sets (approx. 2 hours) and then serve! Enjoy!
