The City of Fort Lupton is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Great Plains Field of Honor this November 10th – 13th at Pearson Park in Fort Lupton, Colorado. The Field of Honor is a powerful way to honor our heroes – by name – with a personal flag dedication. The field is guarded day and night and stands in solemn tribute to their service, past and present.
The Great Plains Field of Honor® honors our Colorado veterans, and first responders- Public Safety, Fire & EMS – who have earned our gratitude. This year, it is our privilege to dedicate the field to our First Responders. Proceeds from this special effort will benefit Badge2Badge and Foundation1023 here in Colorado, along with the programs of the Senior Advisory Committee in Fort Lupton that serves our active adult community year-round.
Both Badge2Badge and Foundation1023 are committed to supporting the mental and emotional wellness of Colorado’s First Responders. They provide free counseling, suicide prevention and more to our first responders. According to retired detective, and founder of Badge2Badge, Rebecca Allanson, “Last year alone, we saw a quadruple jump in outreach for services in just one month, as first responders from around the country were trying to access services, meetings and resources. The need for these services is greater than ever!”
The Fort Lupton Field of Honor® display is a gift to the area made possible through donations, sponsorships and the efforts of many dedicated volunteers. You can show your support and gratitude by sponsoring a flag, making a donation or doing both.
