City of Brighton Hosts Open House for Brighton Police Chief candidates

Visit the Armory Performing Arts Center on Dec. 15th to meet Brighton Police Chief candidates

On December 15th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Armory Performing Arts Center, the City of Brighton will host an open house to meet the Brighton Police Chief candidates. 

This event is designed to provide community members with an opportunity to learn more about the candidates and their interest in the police chief position and will allow the community to provide feedback to the City Manager, Michael Martinez. 

Candidates will be taking over the role from Chief Paul Southard who after more than 34 years of dedicated law enforcement service, retired from Brighton Police Department on October 15. Southard served as police chief since July 2016.

Candidates for the City of Brighton Police Chief position are:

  • Matthew Domenico, Interim Chief of Police, City of Brighton, CO
  • James Hughes, previous Chief of Police, Maricopa, AZ
